There's been an incredible amount of good stuff flying around on facebook lately. The video about Why Beauty Matters from yesterday and today this, written by Russell Gordon and shared with me by Diane Cooper Hoeptner...

When I see all these beautiful & thoughtful, original paintings my artist friends post here on FB & elsewhere, knowing the amount of craft & love that went into each piece, watercolors, gouaches, oils, drawings, available often for surprisingly low prices, I am simply stunned that there are people standing in line at box stores to buy ubiquitous cartloads of tomorrow's landfill who would never think to buy original artwork. Folks, if it has a barcode... it has no soul. Buy something real with your hard earned $$. Buy original artwork. Chances are you know an artist.

I know that I'm preaching to the choir here, but if you share this far and wide via your own blogs, websites, facebook pages and twitter accounts hopefully we'll reach some people.
