The New Britain Museum of American Art Show

Here I am for the third year in a row, juried into the New Britain Museum of American Art Member's Show with my painting Crossing Place.

This is my dear and supportive husband, Bill.

Fellow Maple & Main Gallery artists, Jan Prentice with her painting Harbingers of Spring. Jan teaches botanical illustration at the Yale Peabody Museum in New Haven and her husband Whitney teaches at Paier School of Art in Hamden, CT. He also had a painting in the show!

Yet another Maple & Main Gallery artist in the show, Diane Afton Aeschliman with her gorgeous still life Tablescape: From the Garden.Diane is a former faculty member of the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art in Old Lyme, CT

It's a lovely show, judged by Dr. Susan Sturtevant Director & CEO of Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT.

Hill-Stead is a wonderful place, I visited there last summer. They have several Monet's including a Haystack painting, several Whistler's and a Mary Cassat. The paintings in their collection never leave the museum so you must go there to see them, and they are worth the trip.
