Sharing What I Do

I'm blogging from my iPhone tonight I'm on the way home from speaking at the Connecticut Historical Society which hosted the Connecticut Landmark Society Spring Collectors and Explorers Lecture Series. The theme this year is The Inspired Landscape.

It is always a pleasure and delight to have a chance to share my art with others.

I'll be giving the talk again on Thursday, which appropriatly is Earth Day, at the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme

And just on case you're wondering what's going in the studio here's the beginning of a new landscape. This one has an under painting done in raw sienna dark instead of my usual transparent red oxide. An
explanation about that will have to wait until tomorrow when I'm not so pooped!

Here's a short snippet from my presentation, not great quality but it will give you an idea of what it was like.

Jan, your energy is exhausting! I don't know how you do all you do, but I always enjoy reading about it!
