The 67th Annual Connecticut Artists Show

It was a great opening today on a beautiful sunny Sunday at the Slater Memorial Musem.

It's always interesting to watch and listen as people look and comment on your work.

It seems that the sgraffito technique I've been using caught a lot of peoples interest.

This is really good news for me since I've been concentrating on creating an interesting and complex surface. Most people took a good close look at my painting as well as stepping back. Nice to know my work draws people in and holds their attention for a few minutes.

Here's a short video to give you a feel for the show. The Converse Gallery has 4 other rooms, this is just the main space so you can get a sense of how large & crowded the show was.

What a fabulous gallery! I love how the art is hung, so neat, so museum-like. So glad to hear you had a great turnout, Jan!

Thanks very much! The gallery space is actually part of the museum and the museum director oversees the hanging of the art, hence the "museum" look!
