What a busy and exciting weekend I had. I received Best in Show at the Tracy Art Center Partners in Art Show, fro my painting Spring below

then I received word that Banks Fine Art in Dallas, TX sold my painting No Eye has Seen, below

and finally I received my copy of a meditation CD produced in Germany by a husband/wife team, she a Reikki master and he a musician. They had contacted me about using my painting Flanders Field, below on the CD,(it looks great!) and now they are doing another CD and would like to use another of my paintings. So wow, right now things are going well, and I am thankful for all the blessings.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY May 4, 2009

Outside my window...it's overcast, but I'm hoping for sunshine!

I am thinking...about my mom, today is her 79th birthday!

I am thankful for...all the blessings God graciously bestowes on us especially at unexpected times.

From the kitchen...mesquite grilled chicken, homemade mac&cheese

I am wearing...black jeans and a colorful top.

I am creating...a large minimalist seascape for a client

I am going...to the library to see an art show.

I am reading...The Art Spirit

I am hoping...the builder has floor plans completed by the end of the week. Waiting patiently(sort of lol)

I am hearing...a mourning dove, and lots of song birds. It's lovely!

Around the house...laundry, laundry, laundry

One of my favorite things...dark chocolate, oh soooo good!

A few plans for the rest of the week:working on some new encaustic paintings.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...my daughter's first portrait painting (ever!! I'm so impressed!)
