The Simple Woman's Daybook April 20th, 2009 edition

FOR TODAY April 20th

Outside my window... it is gray and rainy. The weather seems to match the mood of the day.

I am thinking...that life is short.

I am thankful for...eternal life.

From the husband is on kitchen duty today.

I am shoes, black skirt, black blouse

I am creating...publicity images for an upcoming art show in Rhinebeck, NY in early June.

I am a funeral today for my Aunt Eleanor Rennenberg, who was a wonderful watercolorist. She has left a legacy of laughter and beauty.

I am reading... Illuminating Mystery, Creativity as a Spiritual Practice

I am hoping...that today passes quickly.

I am hearing...traffic passing.

Around the house...Well, I'm hoping its not too much of a disaster when I get home from NY.

One of my favorite things... trees that bloom in spring.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Hanging paintings in the JW Benefit Art Show in Old Lyme, teaching a color mixing workshop, attending a meeting at the Florence Griswold Museum and a dinner at the art center.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Calm and Storm, Jan Blencowe
