Blue Moon Tonalist Landscape

About This Painting: After many layers of glaze and scumble I finally got the color in this piece harmonized. It was a lot of work. You have no idea how my arm aches right now LOL All that scrubbing and scumbling really takes some elbow grease.

The results were worth it though. I'm really pleased with the glow and softness this painting has.

Today's Friday Follower Spotlight is shining on Texas artist Nancy Medina and her pugs! Nancy has some absolutely stunning sunflower paintings on her blog right now that I encourage you to see. If you like juicy color and expressive brushwork then her work is not to be misssed!

AAACK the link to Nancy's blog was incorrect!!! It's fixed now (so make sure you go and visit her studio and pugs!!) The original link was to a woman (with the same name) and a catering business and Nancy says she can't even make toast! LOL

So please EVERYONE go an visit using the new link above or use the web address here

This is the account of life in a little art studio in Flower Mound, Texas, where there resides one artist and three wrinkley faced, four-footed studio assistants. My original landscapes, florals, architectural renderings and pet portraits all have just a touch of whimsy and a bit of bold color. Come by often or send me an email at! The pugs and I love visitors
