This is meant to be a companion piece to September Field, the subject matter, techinque and color palette are very similar and the size is the same. Both of these paintings though distilled through time and memory are based on a real place where I have painted a number of times. Scott's Farm market in Essex, CT has a lovely field just like this one. The people at Scott's are very nice and are very welcoming when I ask permisstion to paint there. They have great sunflowers and a cut your own flower field.

Here are some plein air paintings from Scott's I did several years ago that would love a good home! If you like any of them they're $250 each + $7 s/h.

Corn and Pumpkins, 9x12, oil

Farm Field, 9x12, oil

Cut Your Own, 9x12, oil

Sunflowers, 9x12, oil
Looking over these plein air paintings makes me really want to get out there! It was 46 degrees today and felt like a little taste of spring! But I know they're predicting snow for Tuesday so mother nature hasn't fooled me LOL
