Kingfisher Morning

Gray skies and high tide on this November morning. The whole time I was painting a Belted Kingfisher was noisily keeping me company. That is one of my favorite parts of painting outside getting to see different kinds of birds and animals up close. I'm very quiet and still when I paint and most wildlife doesn't seem to mind me being in their territory. It all a part of the beautiful experience of plein air painting. Enjoy!

I love the subtle colors and the feel of this. Great work.

How's the cafepress thing doing, I was thinking of starting some projects... My "serious watercolor" group did a calendar for an animal shelter in Spain and are selling them on cafe press.
