This was painted "en plein air", meaning outdoors. I often paint at this local state park. The colors of the trees and the golden afternoon light were irresistable. It's so wonderful to paint outdoors there were birds and butterflies in droves (theres a butterfly garden, near this spot) and the weather was perfect. Enjoy!

if i ever visit where you paint outdoors, everything will seem so familiar.

the wonderful thing about a painting, is it onvays in an instant, whould must have taken you hours or days or years to absorb and contemplate.
