Ok, I'm back in the treetops once again! I think I know why this has become such a fascinating study for me. The main living areas in our house are on the second floor as is the deck so whenever I look out a window or sit on the deck I'm literally up in the treetops. I look out the windows a lot, that's simply a function of being a nature lover, bird and wildlife watcher and a landscape painter. I sit out on the deck a lot too even when the weather is cold. If the weather is sunny and tolerable on a February afternoon you're likely to find me eating my lunch at the picnic table on the deck! That would be immediately followed by a walk around the yard looking to see if the snowdrops or crocus are poking through the earth yet LOL A few years ago we replaced all the windows in the house with....larger windows of course! So this series of paintings simply reflects what I'm very familiar with and what I look at everyday...treetops. Enjoy!
